Funny soccer story(ies) :

  • When Dallas played U-6 and U-8, she loved to "slide tackle" the ball and put it in the goal. We had to make her stop because we didn't think she really knew what she was doing and was going to hurt herself and others. Now, she forgot how to "slide tackle." Maybe we should have never told her to stop!
  • Also at U-6 and U-8, she managed to take out almost all of her team with her power foot (kicking and knocking her own players down several times - they finally learned to duck). She had the power then but lacked control. Now the control is trying to catch up with the power.

Favorite soccer player(s) :

  • Rhonda Brooks (Auburn University)
  • Mia Hamm

Why she loves soccer:

It's a thrill to win games. Having friends on the team. And being a team.

Inspiration from parents/family:

Dallas - I'm very proud of your accomplishments. From day one when you stepped on a soccer field for your first practice, there was a magical spark with you, the soccer ball and the soccer field. I remember your first coach asking us after your first practice how long you had been playing. He was amazed that it was your first time ever. All your coaches have noticed your special power and you've work hard for developing the skills to go along with that power. You are my dedicated, determined and dependable Dallas and I can't wait to see what your soccer future brings. Love, Mom.
